Santa Needs Our Help!
3 Comments Published by Nicole "The Card Eagle" Bandes November 18th, 2008 in Changing Lives, Personal RelationshipsDo the little ones in your life still believe in Santa? He needs our help. Santa wants to make sure to get a special card out to each and every child around the world this year but his elves are working overtime and Mrs. Claus is busy with the cooking. Santa, of course, is on tour to all the malls and stores around the world and taking time to check his list (twice, in fact) in between stops.
Here’s how we can help. This year, Santa has asked me to contact everyone I know and help them send cards on his behalf to all of the young children in our lives. With SendOutCards, this can be very quick and easy.
Select a card from the system with a picture of Santa, or, better yet, take that photo of the little one on Santa’s lap and scan that into the system. Write a quick letter reminding the boy or girl to be good inside the card. Change the return address to:
Santa Claus (or Kris Kringle)
1111 HoHoHo Dr
North Pole, AK 12345
When the child receives their special card, it will really brighten their day.
If you are not a current customer with SendOutCards, I can help you send out up to 2 cards for free.
Send Out Cards to Kids Testimonial
0 Comments Published by Nicole "The Card Eagle" Bandes November 14th, 2008 in GeneralA couple of years ago, I posted an article, 21 Reasons to Send a Child a Greeting Card.
I thought I’d share a quick testimonial about how sending out cards has helped one child.
We send cards to my step-son at least once a month. This reminds him that no matter how rough things are at school, home or in life we are always thinking of him and love him. The joy he feels makes it worth it everytime.
Thanks!

Being the card getter.
0 Comments Published by Nicole "The Card Eagle" Bandes November 12th, 2008 in Card Testimonials, Personal Relationships, Thank You Greeting CardsSo I often write about why you should be a card sender and send out cards. There are lots of reasons but today I want to share the power of being a card getter instead of a card sender.
I volunteer for Junior Achievement. A lot of people have heard of it, maybe from getting exposure when they were in school, but really don’t know what this organization is about. JA is about empowering kids and sharing the knowledge they need to create financial success in their lives.
Today was the final lesson for my very first class. My students all made custom greeting cards to give me. I was so touched by this and loved reading each and every one of them. Ok, maybe its silly but I’ll be keeping them for a while. I just love getting to send out cards but I also love getting cards!
Thanks, Ms. Crouser’s 5th grade class!

thank you cards
Business Tip: Are You Sending Out To Give?
0 Comments Published by Nicole "The Card Eagle" Bandes November 11th, 2008 in Business Relationships, Business marketingMany businesses send out greeting cards for birthdays, the holidays and even a thank you once in a while for the business. But almost all of those that send out greeting cards are sending out to get something in return. It is a fairly common practice to send out a post card for a birthday wish or with a coupon. And this is considered relationship marketing. The emphasis being on the wrong word, Marketing.
What if you actually learned of an interesting fact about a client and made note of it? Then, when the time was right, you sent out a card reflective of what you learned. What if you learned that your prospect or client was about to go on a trip of their lifetime to another country? Would you gain a lot of loyalty if you were to write a quick note in a bon voyage greeting card and sent it to them?
In a weak economy, it becomes even more critical for the emphasis to be on the word RELATIONSHIP, rather than Marketing. Sending out a paper greeting card can be just as quick as writing a short email. Let me show you how.
Greeting Card Testimonial
0 Comments Published by Nicole "The Card Eagle" Bandes November 7th, 2008 in Business marketing, Card Testimonials, Greeting Card IdeasYears ago when we were trying to build our wedding photography business, I found the names and addresses of the top wedding coordinators in our area. I added them to my mailing list, and would periodically mail them out newsletters, postcards, etc. Around the holidays, we mailed out a personal holiday greeting card with our family photo on it. Within a few days I had one of the top coordinators call me and set up a meeting, saying she had to start working with someone that would mail out that type of greeting to a business contact. We worked together for years after that.
